๐ History of Frogger
Frogger was developed by Konami and published by Sega in 1981. It became one of the most recognizable arcade games of all time, known for its simple concept but challenging gameplay. The game was unique for its time because it didn't involve shooting โ it was purely about navigation and timing.
The game was a massive commercial success, selling over 20,000 arcade cabinets in its first year. Frogger has been ported to virtually every gaming platform since its release and continues to receive modern remakes and sequels.
Frogger's design is a masterclass in escalating difficulty. Each level increases traffic speed and reduces safe spaces, creating a natural difficulty curve that keeps players coming back. The game also pioneered the concept of multiple hazard types in a single screen.
